Operator Design
Corrosion resistant, lightweight, lockable levers are standard. Gearboxes can be fitted onto the valve.
Actuation
Any standard actuator can be fitted including ancillary equipment such as switch boxes, solenoids, beacon indicators, etc.
Standard Mounting Pad
ISO mounting for actuation.
Gland Packing
Energised chevron is standard. (‘O’ ring seal can be supplied if required).
Stem
Blow-out proof design.
Materials available: Hastelloy®, Duplex, Super Duplex,
Titanium, Stainless Steel, etc.
Seating System
Bubble tight sealing. Available in Super PTFE TFM or Virgin PTFE seats. Options include glass filled PTFE, carbon filled PTFE or PEEK.
Regular (Reduced) Port
Optimum flow rate in a compact, economical one-piece design.
Firesafe Option
AVT ball valves are available in a firesafe option with an
intumescent paint coating.
Gland Packing
Chevron Stuffing Box System - PTFE chevron packing combination stem sealing system with energiser. A parallel “O” ring backup. A parallel motion adjuster applies even pressure on the chevron pack for simpler and quicker adjustment.

Notes
1) Max WP for AVT 530 material, non-dangerous fluids at ambient temperature. AVT 520 is 80% of listed pressures. For other temperatures & fluids, please refer to Shipham Valves
2) To allow for variations in break torque due to pressure and viscosity variations, it is recommended that actuators capable of developing forces a minimum of 30% greater than the above are used. Higher safety factors may be required in some applications e.g. when operations are infrequent.Ball Valve Break Torques are for valves with Chevron Stuffing Box System.
3) DN 200 / 8” Reduced Bore Ball Valve is also available as 3-piece design (Long Pattern).
